Try the New Grapefruit Diet
The grapefruit diet claims fast weight loss by incorporating grapefruit into each meal and claims that it speeds up weight loss because of fat-burning antioxidants found in red grapes. But there is no scientific evidence to support that claim. There are, however, multiple versions of the grapefruit diet, but most reputable sources maintain that it will only last 2 or 3 days. There is, however, some evidence that shows grapefruit can cause your metabolism to slow down during the initial phase of the diet.

But even if it only lasts a few days, losing ten to twenty pounds can make a huge difference in your life. Imagine losing thirty or more pounds simply by adding grapefruit to your diet. It would give you more energy, more strength and an overall better feeling throughout the day. So does the grapefruit diet really work?
As mentioned, there are some versions of the grapefruit diet that have been shown to work. But, most of these diets are not based on sound nutritional principles. Many people report feeling exhausted throughout the entire program. There is little or no evidence that regular grapefruit diets can keep you from gaining back the weight you lost. Many people who try these diets are frustrated and return to their old ways just a few months later.
The fact that this diet could be effective for shedding a few pounds in a short amount of time doesn't mean it will for you. You need to be ready to make some sacrifices. And, besides, grapefruit diets don't work with many people. You'll probably need to experiment with more than one type of food in order for you to find the one that's right for you.
In addition, you should take into account the number of calories your body receives each day as you follow the plan. A diet may help you shed a few pounds over a short period of time, but this weight may come right back if you overeat. As you become aware of the calorie content of what you eat, you'll be able to monitor how many calories you need each day. And, you'll be able to choose how many of those calories you take in.
Another factor that may prevent you from enjoying the benefits of a grapefruit juice diet is whether or not you're a big fan of consuming caffeinated beverages. Caffeine has been known to slow down the body's process of burning fat. That's why some dieters drink orange juice instead of plain grapefruit juice. If you like your coffee black, you may want to drink a cup of coffee with grapefruit juice every now and then too.
In addition to dieting, there are also some supplements that you can take that will boost your weight loss efforts. Acai berry supplements have long been promoted as a way for people to lose weight quickly. However, scientists are not completely certain about the health effects of this tiny purple supplement. Acai berry diets, however, have long been used by people who follow other types of diets. It seems to work for about one in five people who take it as a supplement.
The new grapefruit diet is not the only time you might consider trying to eat a new food that has long been associated with weight loss. You may also want to consider trying a new grain that is rich in calcium. Some of the ingredients found in the popular Acai Berry diet include iron, manganese, copper, zinc and vitamins A, B, C and E. It is very important to note that you cannot eat enough of these kinds of foods to make a difference in your weight. So even if you think that a new grain could help you, it will probably be too small to affect your weight.
