So I changed my thinking to think more positively. I thought about all the great people that didn't suffer from depression, instead, they were happy and living their lives happily. I also thought about how miserable and sick people with depression must feel... so I started to think less about negative thoughts, and more about positive thoughts. This made a huge difference to my mood and my ability to stay in control.

It worked, it really does work. And now you know three ways on how to kill depression before it kills you. Use one, two, or all of them, it doesn't matter which one of them you use, just that you're taking control of your life and making a difference.

The first thing I changed was my diet. When you eat a lot of sugar and processed foods, your body becomes addicted to them. Now I don't mean to sound like diets, but when you eat these types of food for a long period of time, your brain starts to think that it needs them. And when it no longer has them, it stops producing them, which results in your brain being like, "I have to have those sugary junk foods!"

So what I did was replace those foods with organic fruit and vegetables. I used to buy my lunch at work, and I would bring home leftovers from there. Sometimes I even brought potato chips. But I always made sure to get enough fruits and vegetables into my diet every day.

The second thing I changed was my workout routine. I started walking everywhere on a daily basis. Not only did this help me burn a lot more calories, but it also helped me relax a bit. That is the key to killing depression before it kills you.

The final thing I did to kill depression before it kills you is sleep. I still get up and walk around, but I rest at night and I try to get as much as five hours of sleep each night. My brain is still working, but it doesn't feel tired. This allows my mind to rest as well, which helps me think clearly. So those are the three things I do to keep depression away.
