So your friends keep telling you to sit back...to calm down...to stop panicking...to take it easy... "It's too much stress." But when you calm down and take a deep breath, all of that can change. Sitting up straight doesn't always give the mind that composed feeling...but sitting back and taking a slow, deep breath can be one of the best things you can do. It is a way to...
When we are calm, our breathing is regulated, our heart rate slows and we relax. But sometimes we can't seem to calm down...and we can't seem to calm down without crying. Sometimes our blood pressure goes through the roof...and we become tense with worry and fear. Sometimes we just need some help...and sometimes we need to take a break from the crazy world we live in and go back to being ourselves again...and sit back and relax.
Some people find that sitting back and relaxing helps them release their negative energy. If they find themselves beginning to get angry about something, they will often sit back and breathe deeply. They will feel much better about the situation. This releasing of energy helps them realize that they aren't angry at the person that's causing all their problems...they are angering out of self-protection.
Others find that by simply sitting back and relaxing they are much more productive. They find that they have a lot more focus and alertness. When you sit properly...you are balanced and ready for any task that comes your way. You are more relaxed and aware.
Some people think of sitting in a chair as...being a teacher. Yes, it is a great way to teach and learn. But it can also be a great way to calm yourself and release any tension that is holding you back. When you feel calm, you tend to be much more productive. Your brain is able to function at an optimum level, which means you are more creative, alert, and attentive.
So, when thinking about sitting in a chair...we recommend sitting in a chair that is comfortable. A lot of us don't like sitting in chairs that hurt our back. If it hurts a little bit, then it's okay. As long as you aren't having pain, there's no problem. And if you need some additional comfort, feel free to get a lumbar support pillow to sit on while you are sitting.
When you do sit up, make sure that you go back to being relaxed first. Don't try to jump right into being awake. If you have a dream or other important task to finish, then you will want to make sure that you are fully prepared to face that before you can go into your day. When you go into your day, you will be fully aware of what you need to do so that you can be as productive as possible. That means you will have to prepare to sit back down again.
There are many ways you can go about relaxing. Sitting in a chair and being totally relaxed for a few minutes will work, but sometimes we all need a little extra help. Don't worry, though, because you can always learn how to relax your spine so that it works the way you want it to.
So you know how important it is to relax, but what if you don't have time to sit down and let your body calm down? That's when meditation can come in handy. Meditation allows you to take your mind off of everything that is going on in your head. If you're stressed out, you might be able to find something in your life that gives you some relief and peace. But it might not happen during the course of the day, so it is always wise to keep some sort of routine going or you will eventually end up stressed out even more.
Another great way to relieve stress is to make sure that you know where your stresses are coming from. Sit in a quiet place, clear your mind, and figure out where all of your problems are coming from. Are they from work? A death in the family? Problems with your children or spouse? Once you know where your problems are coming from, you can work on relieving them or at least finding ways to prevent them from happening.
As you can see, there are many ways to relax and relieve stress. The key is to find a way that works for you and to maintain that relaxation on a regular basis. You don't always have to go to the spa, but you can use many of the same techniques at home to keep yourself in a relaxed state. Sit back, relax and remember that it is always good to have a happy mental state.
